Luigi Madonna : Born and raised in the Neapolitan town of Campani, Luigi Madonna was exposed to dance music from an early age. In the early stages, US House DJs like Louis Vega, Frankie Knuckles and David Morales were particularly influential to Luigi, who played his first DJ gig as a youngster in 1996. He continued to learn the trade, going to see these older DJs play whenever he could and soon playing alongside them himself. As Madonna was beginning to develop his style and seeking a sound to reflect his soul, the rise of minimal techno arrived at the perfect time, bringing the likes of Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing and Marco Carola into the picture. The sound struck a chord with Luigi, influencing his selection as a DJ and inspiring him to delve further into the world of production. He first built his reputation purely as a top-quality DJ though, rocking many of his region’s clubs until he was invited to play Old River Park, a legendary venue in techno’s history. There, Madonna shared the decks with DJs like Joseph Capriati, Pär Grindvik, Dominik Eulberg, Argy, and Ben Sims, making a significant step in his career.
DJ Tennis : Founder and A&R of Life and Death, Manfredi Romano grew up tour-managing punk bands and organizing leftfield music events. Eclectic DJ and fine chef.
Founder and A&R of Life and Death, Manfredi Romano grew up tour-managing punk bands and organizing left-field music events in Italy around the turn of the Millennium. Having completed his studies in computer science at the University of Pisa, Manfredi went on to form DAZE, Italy’s first booking agency solely devoted to electronic music. Drawing on two decades of experience behind the scenes, Romano shifted focus in 2010, establishing himself as a DJ in his own right. As a performer, Tennis valiantly showcases an astute ability to create intimacy in even the vastest of gatherings. As a respected producer, Romano consistently channels his past relationships with post-rock luminaries such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tortoise and Fugazi into intricately-synthesized electronic constellations. Fine chef and restaurant owner, Tennis splits his time between Miami and Barcelona, where he enjoys riding motorbikes, collecting vintage action-figures and building upon his vinyl record collection – which now numbers over eleven-thousand strong.
Animal picnic: 2016 is shaping up to be an exceptional year for Spanish producers Daniel Banker and Inigo de la Riera. Fondly known as Animal Picnic, with their latest Ep’s « Sinopsia », « Euphony » and « Vortex » and many remixes and collaborations with their label partners and other artists, this power techno & house duo are setting their sights high and are on route to conquering fresh musical territories.
The pair officially formed in 2012, after spending a season in Ibiza during 2013, the flood gates opened, initiating a stampede of creativity and support.
They were regular hosts on Ibiza Global Radio station and have released on numerous labels such as Steyoyoke, Parquet recordings, Sleazy Deep, dear deer, Spirit Soul Records and Kumasi, but Danny and Inigo’s thirst to explore their abilities and changing music tastes, are far from quenched.
Marino Canal : Influenced by the works of Brian Eno, Philip Glass, John Cage and Steve Reich, Marino has carved his own staple sound in the techno scene through a stream of solid releases. His debut album « Over Under » has received praise from Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Adriatique Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, reaching Beatport’s Top10 Techno releases and Top20 overall. Marino’s productions are best described as organic, hypnotic and melancholic. He first got involved in the electronic music scene by attending forest raves hosted by his parents. It was there when he first had contact with a set of decks. In the past three years he has played in places like The BPM Festival, Output NYC, Sankeys Ibiza, IMS Ibiza, and Fabric London. Fabric London owner, Keith Reilly, was quoted in an interview saying, “We all live in a world where we have instant access to the worlds most talented DJ’s now. But every decade or so you hear someone, and you know there is something else, something very special going on. I feel Marino is that someone”. Marino’s most recent works include a tight collaboration with Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD Records where he released his highly acclaimed debut album « Over Under » and a series of yet to be released tracks with Skin from Skunk Anansie.
